It's Shilyn Joy!

I feel so drowsy lately; don’t know why, I haven’t been doing anything. I’ve been feelin’ WAY uninspired, totally not feelin’ the sewing…
BUT! I’m getting a free haircut tomorrow via Filipino connections! Haha =] I’m actually only getting it for free, because last time i got my hair cut (and styled) there was for prom. My appointment was at 2, and we got there at 1:30. There was a bitchy bride who wanted her hair a certain wait, so they had to redo it! I ended up getting my hair cut/styled at 3! My aunt paid $70 for it. Boy were we mad. I didn’t get the attention I needed for my prom hairdo, and my aunt (who volunteered to pay for me) was of course pissed that she had to pay a lot for it! Well, at least now, I get a free haircut =]

I applied for a scholarship, posting an album of my designs up on a website . I haven’t had much of a response except for the fact that a wonderful elder man thought I was talented. Because it’s an art site, he, too, was an artist - a painter and photographer. He tagged me “Amazing Womens Fashions” and told his friends to check my stuff out. I’ve only gotten 2 or 3 people checking the album out a day, but it’s a start! Right now, I want the scholarship (book money, $300), but I’m glad that I also got some recognition. It feels good!

I’ve been feeling so uninspired lately. I don’t particularly like it when someone asks me to make them something, but keeps it vague to let me “go crazy” or “stay creative” or “be myself”. What do I do with “I want something exotic”? I asked my boyfriend about what he thought of when someone said the word “exotic,” and he said “Fruits, cars, and girls.” Everyone else said “jungle” or “color” or “tropical”. I like my boyfriend’s words best….Maybe I should look up some nice exotic cars, observe the lines of the cars, and get inspiration from that!

Ah, writing this blog was a breath of fresh air. Searching for cars now =]

That tonight’s gonna be a lazy night!

Yep. I’m done with my photoshoots! Yesterday was the last one for the month (hah 2 photoshoots, and I’m tired? Wow, I suck!) I found a scholarship and applied today; I sure hope I get it! I’ve been searching like crazy, and now I’m in a slump! I’m tired of searching tonight, I’m not feelin’ the sewin’, and yet…I wanna do something. But what?!

Ah, well…I’ll figure it out :)

Oh man! Right before I click “create post” I now know what I should be doing! I should be making my TBPenPal his awesome ninja pencil case! I think that’ll be next week’s Preview Thursday :P because I plan on making a ton of those ! :D

Not really. I’ve just been sewing more than usual…by that, I mean I made 3 pairs of shorts and a shirt this week.

I have my first photoshoot tomorrow! OMGah!
So here are some details: I found my model from model mayhem (duh, best place ever!), and her name’s Meli! She’s gonna model a cute original dress of mine, a spiderman tunic, a shirt and shorts, and my friend’s jewelry (dazeofthweek shoutout!). It’s gonna be amazing (I hope!)

I have another photoshoot next week! Her name’s Stephanie, and my boyfriend picked her out (from a buncha pictures I showed him), hah! She’s gonna model 1 cute casual shirts and shorts and a tunic I’ve been making…I seem to have a problem making the shorts, though =[

Also, I just got my AP test scores. I’m so disappointed in myself, and I let my favorite teacher down! Yes, I got a 5 and a 4 in Calculus,but that’ NOT what I care about! I got a 2 in Art History! Omgoodness =[ Cheer me up?

I’ve been slackin’! I now have to make 3 pairs of shorts, 2 shirts, and a tunic/dress; First photoshoot on Saturday! AND I have to figure out where the shoot should be next week on Thursday, which I’m hoping is closer to me! =D Well, off to sewing….I think =]
